Wrestling Cracks Top-25 in NWCA Coaches PollThe Army West Point wrestling team entered the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division I Coaches Poll at 25th on Tuesday. The Black Knights received 15 points in the poll and are ranked in the Coaches' Poll for the first time since Dec. 6, 2005. "I'm proud of the recognition our wrestlers are getting at the national level," head coach Kevin Ward said. "It says a lot about the work they have put in and the belief they have in themselves and in their teammates. Being ranked in the top-25 is validation that we are on the right track, but that's not our end goal. Our goal is to continue to climb, continue to do what we have done and continue to do it better every day." Army improved to 7-2 on the season and 6-0 in EIWA duals following its thrilling 22-19 victory over Bucknell on Sunday. The win was the fifth straight for the Cadets, their longest streak since the 2016-17 campaign. Additionally, Army's 6-0 start in conference is its best since the 2005-06 campaign. Read more.
