CDT Tommy Funk '20Tommy Funk of the Army West Point Men's Basketball Team was named All-Patriot League Third Team on Monday afternoon. This marks Funk's second career postseason honor from the league after he was named to the all-rookie squad as a freshman. It has been a season to remember for the Warrington, Pa., native who became Army's all-time assists leader and broke the single-season assists record, which he originally set a season ago. Funk additionally became the first Cadet in program history to record 500 career helpers. As the starting point guard, has led the Patriot League in assists per game this season while ranking inside the top-25 nationally with 6.1 to pair with a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Funk has handed out five or more helpers in a game on 23 different occasions. Additionally, he tallied three double-doubles after dishing out double-digit assists in three outings.

Funk's talents extend past his court vision, as the junior is averaging 12.3 points per game, which ranks inside the top-25 in the Patriot League. He has connected on 43 percent of his shots from the field and 37 percent of his attempts from long range. Funk posted 20 double-digit scoring outings and four 20-point performances this season, including a career-best 26 opposite Lehigh on Feb. 20. He will enter the Patriot League Tournament matchup with Lehigh on March 7 just four points shy of becoming the 35th Cadet in program history to join the 1,000-point club. That would also make him just the eighth player in Patriot League history to record 1,000 career points and 500 assists.
