West Point Women Celebrating WPAOG 150th in Ireland

Nineteen West Point Women and their family members toured Southwest Ireland last week. The following West Point alumni classes were represented: '81, '85, '86, '87, '88, '89, '93, '97, '99, '00, '02, '08, '09, and '10. The group did their part supporting international eco-tourism by planting an oak tree in Ireland to commemorate their first visit to Ireland.

Ryan '04 Sworn in as Ulster County Executive

Patrick Ryan was sworn in as Ulster County executive on Friday, June 7, marking the first transition of power since the office was established a decade ago. State comptroller Thomas DiNapoli administered the oath of office to the 37-year-old former Army officer in a standing-room-only ceremony at the Ulster County courthouse on Wall Street in Kingston. The ceremony took place five weeks after Ryan
