Army Men’s Soccer Adds Jonathan Delano as Assistant CoachArmy West Point Men’s Soccer head coach Brian Plotkin has announced Jonathan Delano as the newest addition to his coaching staff. Delano joins the Black Knights in an assistant coaching role after stops at Penn, Harvard and Dominican (Calif.). Coach Plotkin is excited with the amount of experience and soccer knowledge that Delano will bring with him to West Point.

“We are thrilled for Jon to join our program. His addition to our staff will help our program make a big step forward.” said Plotkin. “Our cadet athletes have someone who will help make them a better person, soccer player and cadet.”

Delano is ready to begin his new chapter at West Point and eager to begin working with the Cadet-athletes this Fall.

“I want to thank Brian Plotkin for giving me the chance to work at such an elite institution alongside the best and brightest that our Country has to offer." said Delano. "I am excited to begin my time on post and I look forward to making Army Soccer an even stronger program.”

Delano's most recent stop was with the University of Pennsylvania, where he spent two seasons as an assistant coach. While in University City, the California native coached seven All-Ivy honorees including the 2019 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. In his second year with the team, Delano helped lead the Quakers to a 7-5-4 record, the team's best mark since the 2011 season.
