ASEM Wins Two Founder’s Awards
Congratulations to our Engineering Management Program, winners of two American Society of Engineering Management (ASEM) Founder’s Awards. The program was recognized for both the Best ASEM Student Chapter and the Best Undergraduate Engineering Management Program for 2021!
To quote Department Head COL Rich Morales: “Both awards recognize excellence and leadership, both in programs and in people. This selection is not made solely by academics, but also by well versed practitioners and employers in the field. This reinforces what we already know: our program teaches and leads, not only in the theoretical domain, but by expertly applying engineering concepts to real world problems, a skill that will enable Cadet success now and in the future.”
Special thanks to 2LT Mitch McHugh, the ASEM Cadet-in-Charge for AY21, MAJ Abe Payne, the ASEM Officer-in-Charge, and to COL Paul Evangelista, LTC(P) James Schreiner, and Dr. Kenny McDonald, who expertly led the Engineering Management Program and oversaw ASEM during AY21. Well-deserved!
