
CDT Abric’s Shutout Effort Lead Hockey to a Win Over AIC

The Army West Point Hockey team (1-5-1, 1-2-1, Atlantic) picked up three points and its first win of the 2021-22 campaign with a 2-0 win over American International College (1-4-0, 1-1-0, Atlantic). Yearling netminder Gavin Abric led the charge with 36 saves and the first shutout performance in his young career. Jake Felker and John Keranen both scored their first goals of the season to boost Army to its first win over a team receiving votes since 2019. The strong defensive effort began from the first drop of the puck, as the Cadets blocked the first three shots fired off by AIC. Andrew Quetell and Marshal Plunkett both jumped in front of the shots to protect Abric. Read more.
