Women’s Soccer Collects Patriot League Accolades
Following the Army West Point Women’s Soccer Teams 2-1 defeat of Bucknell, both Lindsey Smith and Kaelan Bradley received weekly awards from the Patriot League. Smith was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week, while Bradley was named Rookie of the Week. Smith played a key role in the team’s victory over the Bison, providing an immediate spark off the bench. Her first career goal, scored in the 72nd minute of play, helped lift the Cadets past Bucknell. The shot was taken from about 30 yards out and tied the score up at 1-1. In addition to her offensive efforts, Smith helped to anchor a back line that held the Bison to just one goal, despite the team averaging nearly two per conference outing. Read more.
