Cadets Conduct a Four Point Bending Test

Cadets enrolled in Civil Engineering, Design of Reinforced Concrete, conducted a four point bending test to quantify the flexural behavior of their reinforced concrete beams that they cast during the lab program this semester. This course challenges students to identify, formulate, and solve a complex engineering problem in teams. The design problems are open-ended in nature and involve the application of math, science, and engineering principles acquired in previous coursework.
