Wrestling Battles to Victory at BucknellThough the score was tied up with just three matches left, the Army West Point wrestling team's gutsy performances down the stretch helped it secure a 21-12 victory at Bucknell. The trio of cadets Thomas Deck ’24 (141), Matthew Williams ’24 (149) and No. 29 Markus Hartman ’22 (157) posted three-straight decisions to help the Black Knights (1-6, 1-1 EIWA) pick up their first win of the year while handing the Bison (10-3, 6-1 EIWA) their first conference loss. CDT Aaron Duhart’s ’22 go-ahead layup with 46 seconds remaining lifted the Army Black Knights to a 60-56 victory over the Lafayette Leopards. The Black Knights scored the final seven points to slip past Lafayette in a game that featured 15 lead changes and eight ties. The Leopards led 56-53 with 2:54 left but Army held Lafayette scoreless for the rest of the game. Read more.
