Women’s Soccer Welcomes Two Assistant Coaches
Army Women’s Soccer Head Coach Tracy Chao has officially welcomed two new faces to the program. Tori Ball and Justin Howell will join Chao's staff in 2021-22 as assistant coaches. Coach Chao is thrilled with the level of experience these two will bring with them to Army. “I am excited to add Tori and Justin to our Army Women's Soccer family,” said Chao. "They are such incredible people and thrilled to combine all of our forces in our pursuit for excellence and championships.”
Ball comes to West Point after a four-year tenure at Colorado State as an assistant before serving as the interim head coach for the 2020 season. Ball arrived at Colorado State after a two-year stay with FC Boulder Development Academy where she held multiple head coaching positions. A Mobile, Ala. native, Ball played four seasons collegiately as a striker for Auburn University. Coach Chao is excited at the level of enthusiasm and passion Ball will bring to West Point.
“Tori [Ball] immediately brings a fantastic energy and level of experience as a former standout student-athlete at Auburn University to her last few seasons contributing to building the program at Colorado State University,” said Chao. “I've been fortunate to see both of those first-hand and know Tori's knowledge, commitment, work ethic and love for the game will make an immediate impact on the program.”
No stranger to the game, Howell comes to Army from San Francisco University by way of Toronto where he served as the director of soccer operations for the semi-professional Toronto Skillz FC for two years. Coach Chao believes Howell's experience will play a big role in the team's future.
“Justin will be another exceptional addition to our staff and program,” said Chao. “He adds a wealth of experience from the tremendous programs and staff that he has been a part of as well as an amazing outlook and approach for our goalkeepers and program.” Read more.
